Adding Words To My Whimsical Art.

Friends – I was asked to submit a piece to the Dallas Society Of Visual Communicators 25 years ago for an art auction that raised money for high school student scholarships in the area. One of the things that I enjoyed about this piece was incorporating uplifting words as a design element to my whimsical art, and it is something that I still enjoy doing today. Painting on wood was quite fun, and I loved the process of not mixing paint to get the colors that I desired. I had always mixed my paint colors up to this point, but working in “craft” paint opened the door for more exciting color combinations. Thankfully the acrylic paint that I currently use now comes in a variety of colors. Hugs! Deana (Dee-na)
