Falling In Love With “Fun-ctional “Art.

Friends – Many years ago, Michaels Art stores would hire local artists to create sample artwork using their featured products. The artist would be “gifted” paint for compensation with an opportunity to teach classes for them. It was a delight to create an item that enhanced the shape of the birdhouse, and I loved to see how my design transferred to a “fun-ctional” piece of art. While creating this piece, I fell in love with the challenge of making an everyday household item more beautiful by using color, pattern, and texture. I continue to use the skills that I developed to create artwork for the print-on-demand product that the Redbubble Marketplace carries. Hugs! Deana
