Christmas Reflections

Friends- This is my most treasured photo. It is the last picture we took as a family before Grant died. I am thankful to have had the memory!

Behind the scenes- Grant was having trouble getting home from skating with friends as his ride fell through. When he got home, he had outgrown the clothing he was supposed to wear as he had a growth spurt. He threw on Casey’s sweater and we were almost 40 min late to service but the Lord had put in my heart to be grateful and filled with peace and joy. We almost didn’t go to church that year as the tardiness of attending church that evening almost robbed our family of making a memory. I prayed through my frustrated feelings and asked God to help me stay calm, cool, and collected. I’m so glad that I did because it was our last Christmas together as a family.
